Modern, advanced, conservative approach to restore teeth. The goal is to mimic the original strength, function and aesthetics of natural teeth. Less need for root canals and extractions.

Biomimetic fillings

Conserve tooth structure

Removing natural tooth structure weakens teeth, and causes decreased resistance to flexure, increasing cracks, fractures and failures of old restorations.

Biomimetic fillings involve minimally invasive techniques, where only decayed or damaged tooth structure is removed.  Specific bonding techniques and reinforced filling materials are used to restore teeth.

Inlays and onlays

No more crowns

Traditional crowns involve invasive tooth preparations and weaken the underlying tooth structure.

Modern adhesive techniques and materials allow for more conservative tooth preparations that preserves intact tooth structure and strength of the natural tooth.

New crowns are placed only when replacing already existing traditional crowns.

Additive direct composite veneers

Minimal or no prep bonded veneers

Meticulous planning, and biomimetic techniques and materials allow us to create direct bonded minimal or no-prep restorations that have the shape and appearance of natural teeth.

The use of air abrasion, and fibres can help us get predictable long term success with even severely structurally compromised teeth.

Tooth alignment and whitening may be required before restorations.

Snoring and tooth grinding may be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea, which is a medical condition that could have serious consequences on your overall health.  Let us know if you snore or grind your teeth at night, or if you think you have sleep apnea.

Dr. Christiana Lee has been practicing dental sleep medicine since 2016 and is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea screening

Clinical systematic evaluation of the upper airway to assess risk factors and other common presenting symptoms of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Observed stopping of breathing while asleep, or gasping for breath. Snoring or tooth grinding at night are possible signs of sleep apnea.  Certain anatomic features in the mouth increase the risk of obstructive sleep apnea.

Night Owl overnight home screening test available.

Home Sleep Testing

A home sleep apnea test is used to diagnose sleep apnea and other sleep breathing disorders from the comfort of your home.  It is a portable device that is worn, usually for 2 nights, and measures the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI), which is used to diagnose the severity of OSA.  The patient is shown how to use the equipment and takes it home to do the testing.  The device is returned, the data is downloaded and interpreted by a sleep physician.  The results of the HST are discussed with the patient and appropriate treatment is prescribed.

Oral appliance therapy (OAT) uses a custom-fit mouth guard-like device worn only during sleep to maintain an open, unobstructed airway. OAT devices prevent the airway from collapsing by supporting the jaw in a forward position. For many, oral appliance devices are more comfortable to wear than a CPAP mask (traditional treatment for OSA). The devices are also quiet, portable and easy to care for.
