Invisalign is
more than straight teeth

Stable, long-term results depend on careful planning.

At Serpentine Dental Care, Invisalign is used as part of a carefully planned approach that considers your bite, tooth position, and long-term stability, not as a one-size-fits-all solution.

Our Invisalign Philosophy

Treatment is carefully planned from the outset, from your initial records and simulation through to monitoring and long-term retention.  The focus is not simply on straightening teeth, but on achieving results that are stable, functional, and minimally invasive.

How we plan your treatment

  • Facially Driven Planning
Teeth aren't simply straightened. The tooth positions are planned in relation to your face and smile.

  • The overall bite is considered
Treatment considers how your teeth come together, how they wear over time, and how that affects long-term stability.

  • Advanced aligner protocols
An advanced structured aligner protocol is used, with frequent tray changes and close monitoring, to improve predictability, efficiency and comfort.

  • Integrated Periodontal Awareness
Treatment is planned with careful consideration of the supporting bone and periodontal health, informed by years of working closely with periodontal specialists.

  • Designed for Long Term Stability
The focus is on achieving results that are not only aesthetic, but stable and functional over time.

Dr. Christiana Lee is a Diamond Invisalign provider and Certified Smile Designer, with advanced training in facially driven treatment planning.

The Invisalign Process

Treatment is carefully planned and monitored at each stage, from your initial consultation through to long-term retention.

1. Initial Consultation

We assess your teeth, bite, and goals, and determine whether Invisalign is appropriate for you.

2. Digital Scan and Records

A 3D scan, radiographs, photographs, and a short video are taken to plan your treatment. Preview your new smile.

3. Treatment Planning

Your case is carefully planned using our advanced treatment planning protocols and digital tools to guide tooth movement and overall outcome for long term stability.

4. Aligner Phase

You wear a series of custom aligners, changing them regularly as instructed, with ongoing monitoring.

5. Protect Your Results

At the end of treatment, we provide your first set of retainers, and offer long-term support to help you keep your smile looking its best.

Payment Options: We offer structured payment plans to make treatment accessible, with clear terms and no hidden fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is a digital orthodontic system that utilises a series of clear aligners (trays) to gradually shift your teeth into the desired tooth position.  Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible.  Invisalign® clear aligners are popular for their aesthetic appeal and convenience, making it a preferred choice for adults or teens seeking a discreet way to improve their smiles.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Properly aligned teeth provides a range of health benefits:

  • Aesthetics:  Crowding, spacing and unaesthetic tooth alignment

  • Preventive Care:  By aligning the teeth properly, the risks associated with grinding such as excessive tooth wear, gum recession, and notches at the gumline is reduced.

  • Enhanced oral hygiene:  Straight teeth are easier to clean, reducing plaque buildup and staining, thereby promoting a healthier oral environment and even reducing the risk of periodontal disease.

  • Minimally invasive treatment:  Invisalign facilitates more conservative aesthetic smile makeovers by positioning your teeth optimally before further treatments, ensuring minimally invasive, or non-invasive techniques are required.

How long does Invisalign take?

This depends on the complexity of the case.  The average length of Invisalign treatment is around 11 months, but we use advanced techniques to bring down our average treatment time to as little as 4-6 months, depending on the complexity of the tooth movements we are trying to achieve.

Why are you recommending eating with the aligners in place? I've never heard of this before.

We use advanced techniques, and for the best results it's ideal to have your aligners in your mouth all the time, eating, sleeping, day, night, except when cleaning your teeth and aligners. It takes a few days to get used to eating with them in place, but this helps us get the final results faster and more predictably, and makes the entire journey more comfortable.

Are there any food restrictions?

Don't eat any yellow staining foods such as curry, tumeric, yellow mustard and mac and cheese. These can stain your aligners bright yellow!  We also recommend not eating anything too hot or hard while wearing your aligners.

Does a higher Invisalign provider tier mean better results?

Not necessarily. While tier levels like “Emerald” or “Diamond” reflect case volume, they don’t measure quality, outcomes, or patient satisfaction.

Dr. Christiana Lee is a Diamond-level provider — but more importantly, she’s trained under Invisalign’s top global doctor and uses advanced planning tools available only to the top 1% of providers.  Every treatment is tailored for you with expert smile design, airway considerations, and long-term function in mind, so you can be confident that you’re getting the best treatment possible.
